Let’s Celebrate Women’s History Month
“Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations.”
― Mae Jemison
March is Women’s History Month - a time not only to reflect the extraordinary achievements of women throughout history but inspire us to dream bigger and reach higher.
It’s impossible to create a definitive list of the most influential women in the history of the world. How can we measure whose work was most profound or who made the biggest impact? Each woman's contribution was monumental in its own right because they fought for justice, demanded their rights, broke barriers to be heard, and had the resilience to preserve and to make change.
As we researched the stories about these incredible women, we were awed at how the works of one directly influenced the lives of others. Take for example, Mae Jemison, the first Black American woman to be in space. Mae grew up partly in Chicago, where she was able to take dancing classes at Hull House, which was founded by Jane Addams. Years after she became a doctor, Mae applied to be an astronaut because she was inspired by Sally Ride, the first American woman to be in space.
To highlight some women who have made a mark on this world, we created a special Women’s History Month Loteria, featuring 54 incredible women. We have also made a separate PDF where you can read a brief biography of each woman and their accomplishments. The loteria set is also available for our monthly premium customers for March 2025.
